James Mason (American actor)

James P. Jim Mason was an American actor. He appeared in 173 films between 1914 and 1952, often as a villain or henchman in Westerns. Hes memorable as the drugaddicted criminal who shoots Lon Chaneys character Blizzard in the final moments of 1920s The Penalty.

He was born in Paris, eventually immigrating to the US. Mason died in Hollywood, California from a heart attack.
